4WD Systems

The great advantage of lithium batteries for the 2nd battery in a 4WD vehicle is that for the same space and weight as old-style AGM batteries you get 3-5 times the amount of power.

Having your lithium battery directly connected to the primary start battery means that you can charge whilst driving and some of the systems allow for additional solar charging from either fixed or folding solar panels.

The premium bundles include a pure sine wave inverter so any electrical appliance can be used from the back of the vehicle. These system bundles are perfect for tradesmen who need to charge tools or run power tools directly from the vehicle.

Also perfect for the power camper who wants to run coffee machines, microwaves, kettles, toasters and other appliances. All of our bundles come with ALL the necessary cables and connectors to enjoy your new system straight out of the box.

Our 4WD Dual Battery System bundles are a combination of either solar, DC-DC or AC charging, a lithium battery and pure sine inverter depending on your requirements.

Bundle Components: LBS-1250-LP, LBS-CHG-DC8, LBS-BI80

User Story: “My LBS system came with 3 components. It was easy to install and came with cables and clear instructions. I connected to the start battery with the isolator and then into the DC-DC charger and left all of that installed in the vehicle nicely hidden under the seat. I connected this to the start battery and all of this is hidden away. I simply plug in my fridge, rear lights and a couple of USBs for phone charging. Easy to install and I know I can never deplete my start battery and my fridge keeps going even when the car is off.” John – Queensland.

Battery Capacity: 50Ah

Max Discharge Current: 200A

Bundle Components: LBS-1250-SE-BIC, LBS-INV-121200

User Story: “My system came with a battery and an inverter. I already had solar panels and had all of the other leads for my DC loads. All I had to do was place the battery securely in place and mount the new inverter. The inverter was great for all of my rechargeable power tools. My fridge connected straight to the DC power and my lights were also connected to the DC power. The package came with a remote monitoring screen and I mounted that so I could see it clearly. It is great and gives me a simple screen that tells me how much is left in the battery. I do also go into the next screen which tells me amps in or out and time to empty or full but I only did that when setting up to see how much each item was drawing or how my solar panels were going. The battery never seems to run out and I don’t really need to go into this screen very often now.” Corey – NSW.

Battery Capacity: 100Ah

Max Discharge Current: 50A

Charger: DC-DC

Inverter: Not included

Description: 12V 100Ah lithium battery with 50A discharge capacity. Charge whilst driving and includes an isolator and 20A DC-DC Charger.

Bundle Components: LBS-12100-LP, LBS-CHG-DC20, LBS-BI80

User Story: “I wasn’t sure if I should go for the 50Ah or 100Ah battery. I went for the larger one because I definitely didn’t want to run out of power. I can leave the fridge running for nearly 2 days on this system. I installed my isolator and DC-DC charger myself with the help of a friend who is good at electrical work and the instructions were straight forward. It came with cables and connectors and I only needed to change one to suit my set-up. I set up my battery so I could take it out and use it in a tent where I have lights mainly to power and a portable UEBoom speaker that needs USB like my phone.” Richard – NSW.

Battery Capacity: 100Ah

Max Discharge Current: 200A

Charger: DC-DC, Solar

Inverter: 2200W

Description: 12V 100Ah lithium battery with a huge 200A discharge capacity plus a pure sine inverter. Charge from the car or from solar panels and have the available power to make a coffer or run a pump or a winch. This package includes a 2200W inverter.

Bundle Components: LBS-12100-SE-BIC, LBS-INV-122200

User Story:I have a solar panel on the roof from my previous system and also a connection to the start battery on an Anderson plug. All of this was simple to directly connect to the new battery. It comes with a battery that has 3 different coloured (Red, Blue, Grey) Anderson plugs on the top of the battery and in the box came a spare set of Andersons plugs and pins to use to make any connections. Solar panels went into a Red, connection to the start battery went into Blue. System cam with a great screen to see how much in the battery. With the inverter I have a Aldi coffee pod machine which works great. I also have a 20” LCD screen and via my phone can screencast or use the antenna for free to air TV which I sometime get and sometimes don’t. Makes camping pretty easy and keeps the family happy and I must say I also enjoy a good coffee in the morning.” Jim – Victoria.

User Story:I never want to run out of power and with this system I never have. Never been below 40%. The remote screen gives me the battery
capacity like a fuel gauge. I permanently wired an inbound AC connection and when in the garage at home I can charge the battery. It also charges when I am driving. I didn’t want to permanently mount a solar panel on the car but I have a folding panel that I take out when needed. The inverter can power anything. Power tools with an extension cord and my appliances in the back. I have a small microwave that makes life a breeze for lunch with my pre-packaged meals. Easy to install. Had stacks of cables and easy instructions.” Scott – WA.
